Big hearts

Dave believes in lifting organizations up and contributing back to the community, even while he is traveling for his business. This is evidenced by his involvement in his church (Federated Church in Chagrin Falls), where he has served on the Finance committee and currently on the Central Council (Board of Directors). While his son was attending Gilmour Academy in Gates Mills, Dave became active in the Gilmour Entrepreneurial Education Council (GEEC) for the purpose of developing young entrepreneurs in the high school.  He did this even though his son was only in kindergarten at the time.  He is still currently engaged in the Entrepreneurship classes at Gilmour as an advisor even though his son has left Gilmour Academy.

Dave has been engaged by Weatherhead as an alumni advisor for a three year term beginning in August of 2012.  In that role, it is his responsibility to serve as a mentor, guide and advisor to the alumni office while also serving as a voice of the alumni around the world. He has engaged with the Alumni office and is currently working closely with Katie Keane, the Director of Alumni Relations, on building a new Mission statement, objectives and responsibilities for the Alumni Advisor organization.  In addition, Dave recently volunteered as a mentor to the students at Weatherhead to support their case style interviewing as they prepared for job interviews.
